ASI Solutions and the Australian Privacy Act

The Commonwealth Government has passed the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000 (Cth) which amends the Privacy Act 1988(Cth). As an Australian owned company, our policy for your consumer privacy is based upon the Australian - 10 National Privacy Principles. When you purchase from ASI Solutions, contact ASI Solutions, provide information to ASI Solutions or view our website ASI.com.au, we will protect your privacy and help you maintain control over your personal data that you have provided to ASI Solutions.

Collection:

Information collected will only be used for the conduct of business with ASI Solutions and the you, the client. It will be fair, lawful and non - obtrusive. ASI Solutions will use the Collection Statement. Where reasonable and practical, ASI Solutions will endeavour to collect information directly from the individual.

Use and disclosure:

ASI Solutions will endeavour to collect information for primary purposes - ie a marketing campaign for a specific purpose.

Data Quality:

ASI Solutions will endeavour to collect and use information that is accurate, complete and up to date. The Quality of data will be continually confirmed.

Data Security:

ASI Solutions will take all reasonable steps to protect your information from mis-use, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

Openness:

ASI Solutions has a privacy document that details our information handling processes. This is available under QA and Intranet processes.

Access and Correction:

As a client you have the right to seek access to your information held by ASI Solutions. These will be provided in a reasonable time frame. Note: There are limited circumstances / exceptions where this may be refused.

Government Identifiers:

ASI Solutions will not use any government identifier such as Tax file number, Medicare etc to identify a client. ABN and ACNs may be used.

Anonymity:

Where it is lawful and practical ASI Solutions will allow customers to interact anonymously.

Transborder Dataflows:

As a totally Australian owned company, there are no other ASI Solutions entities that have access to the database that ASI Solutions operates upon. Thus the information will not be shared beyond the parent entity.

Sensitive Information:

ASI Solutions will not collect sensitive information unless the individual consents.
If ASI Solutions uses any service provider as a third party ie mail house , PR firm or recruitment company etc we insist that they abide by the new privacy laws.

ASI Solutions will only ask for RELEVANT information that relates to your account

The types of information that ASI Solutions may request may include the following;

• Your details on a customer purchase order
• E-mail notification for example: your order status, your web account number, your RA /service job number, our technical response to your problem
• Your contact for a newsletter or mailing list
• Our response to your request a quotation
• Your customer satisfaction level as an IT user.
• Your acceptance to receive information from a telesales person
• Confirmation that you will attend an ASI Solutions business related conference or seminar

In the case of newsletters or mailing lists, you can "unsubscribe" to these mailings at any time:

By emailing simply the words REMOVE on the subject field we will remove your email contact name - Email marketing@asi.com.au

By faxing Marketing on 02 9666 5460 and requesting no information by whatever method.

By calling Marketing on 03 9674 3170

ASI Solutions will ask for your information such as the following :

• Name
• E-mail address
• Phone number
• Fax number
• Your Business name
• Relevant IT business Information which assists ASI Solutions in servicing your account
• Preference to receive ASI Solutions customer information

ASI Solutions will use your personal information for specific purposes

ASI Solutions will ONLY use your information to support your interaction with ASI Solutions. If an ASI Solutions service centre is used to perform ASI Solutions service, we will insist that they also use your information only for the purpose of service arrangements with ASI Solutions and you the client. ASI Solutions staff who access your information under normal business procedures have been advised that they must protect your data and privacy both during employment and post employment with ASI Solutions Solutions.
